Therefore, it is impossible to speak of Commission XI at the Commission IV or V. All the decisions involved the Ministry of Finance there. If it is so, hopefully it also occur in Budget agency(of Senate) for clear. If not, what are the benefits commission XI, "said Edison.

Stated Owned Companies Know only to Ask for Fund, unwilling to be Development agency

The finance minister, sri mulyani expressed her disappointment to some unmentioned stated owned companies. According to her, some of them know only to ask for fund, participation state capital yet unwilling to  be agent of development. 

Overall, sri stated that the contribution of stated owned company is not really significant not in accordance with the stimulated fund from government. In fact, the stimulated fund is still maintained for them in the midst of the efficiency urgency through the cut off of some government project and programs. 

Sri mulyani postulated the contribution for total revenue last year 2015 was only Rp 202, meanwhile the government had released stimulated fund to boost these enterprises. 

The finance minister expects much that stated owned companies should be the agent of development. It is reflected through the good corporate governance. 

High Cigarettes Price Rp 50.000 per pack, Cigarette Companies and Objectives

The issue of sudden mark up of cigarette price becomes the main core of trending issue. The government seems to increase the price of cigarettes from around Rp 20.000 per pack to Rp 50.000 per pack. Many experts see this is still logical and acceptable since the other countries like singapore, USA even have the higher prices than Rp 50.000 per pack. 

The director of beverage and tobacco industry, wilhem petrus has a contradictory opinion regarding the issue. He said that precisely the cigarette price in indonesia is higher than other countries since indonesia has the low income per capita. Compared to Japan for instance, though the price is higher than Rp 50.000 but they have the high income per capita. Meanwhile, in indonesia, such price is too high. It will affect the daily budget of people since almost 80% of daily expenditure is for cigarette.

Discourse of amount of Rp 50.000 per pack of cigarettes comes from the results of the calculations Hasbullah Thabrany research professor, Head of the Center for Health Economics and Policy School of Public Health, University of Indonesia. In a study based on the results of a survey released in July 2016 it was mentioned the price of cigarettes is ideal for preventing students and poor people smoke is Rp 50 thousand per pack.

The data collection was conducted from December 2015 through January 2016, with the number of respondents 1,000 people. As a result, 82 percent of respondents agreed price of cigarettes increased. In fact, 72 percent of respondents agreed price of cigarettes increased to above USD 50 thousand, to prevent students smoke.

Earlier, Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Central Java Margo Yuwono mention the presence of cigarette filter was judged to be the cause of one of poverty in Central Java after rice. The findings were based on a survey of Central Java BPS poverty profile in the period September 2015 to March 2016.

We come on common perception that cigarettes  are not good for health and future of persons even if the same question addressed to the active smokers. Though the research basically is solely the further study of general truth about negativity of cigarettes but we can't deny the fact that it's not simply like flipping the hand to eradicate the smoking habit of indonesians looking to the fact that almost majority of population is smoker not to mention the high school students.

Efficiency of Budget, Sri Mulyani aims not to Cut off Spending PriorityPrograms

The government through the minister of finance, sri mulyani finally realized to be realistic with the deficit of budget 2016. The deficit of budget of which the government has to cover from loans around Rp 365.7  trillion has been realized well by sri mulyani as over ambition of government to boost the infrastructure projects. 

In her assembly with the senate to day, wednesday, august 24th, 2016, sri mulyani underlined the efficiency of budget through the reduction of certain projects that are basically less significant. Nonetheless Sri said the budget cuts made by the government will not bother spending priorities, namely poverty eradication, reduction of disparities, and increase employment. "But, in some ministries, the budget will be managed in a multiyear," she said.

Furthermore, she explained that the participation of capital state for stated owned company (BUMN) won't be annihilated though the government will make the efficiency of Rp 133.8 trillion.

According to finance minister, the participation of state's capital for BUMN is must be suitable with its main agenda of business. She agreed with the right use of state's capital as criticized by the senate. The stakeholder will work on together to monitor the progress of BUMN platform and work aiming for healthy and stability of BUMN itself.

General commission of Election(KPU) sees no urgency of the country to use e-voting. In the Asian electoral forum held in bali, KPU stated that indonesia doesn't intend to imitate the other countries like USA using e-voting. Though Indonesia is considered as the big country with such high population estimated more than 100 Billion citizens, KPU opted to still use the manual voting and opting to use the e-recap for general election and regional elections to come consisting of USSB, C1 scan and seven segments.

Foreign investment in Banten skyrockets in the second quarter of 2016 according to the data  of the coordinating board and integrated services (BKPMT).  The realization of foreign direct investment(FDI) in south tangerang for instance increased to $64.5 billion more than the same period last year which was only $180.000 for year on year/yoi. 

Furthermore, the sum of projects in banten increases to 80 projects more than last year which was only 20 projects. Most of them are foreign investment and project from countries like singapore, england, south korea and china.

The favourite investment sectors in banten province according BKPMT are property, services and trade. These are the main choice investors and well profit promising. Meanwhile local investors haven't increased mostly caused by the non available alternative of investment of leading sectors due to narrow area. Based on data from the Investment Coordinating Board and Integrated Services (BKPMT) Banten, the realization of investment in the province reached Rp11,1 trillion in the second quarter / 2016. In details, Rp 25.8 trillion foreign declarations and declarations of Rp 3.66 trillion in the country.
