THE UNIQUE FACT ABOUT KELIMUTU LAKE

The unique fact about kelimutu lake has made the lake quite distinct from another lakes all over the world. This is also the reason of flooded coming visitors from different part of to world to this place every year. 

Kelimutu lake is commonly known as Three Color Lake recognized as the one of the most famous tourism spot in Indonesia. It's located in Ende district' central of flores, exactly in Moni Village. It takes almost 20 minutes fom central town of ende. 

The unique fact about kelimutu lake that binds much the visitors here is basically its unique Three Color. In fact there are three lakes on the top of the mountain kelimutu called danau ata mbupu lake, danau ata polo lake and  danau nuamuri koo fai lake. The color of these lakes transform into different color because of Volcanic mineral process at the lake bed. Thus the color of the lakes seem to transform through years. 

Nuamuri koo fai lake has tosca color which transforming into white milk, then ata mbupu lake has green color which sometimes transform to black color. Meanwhile  danau atapolo lake has black color and seldomly changing its color. 

The unique fact about these lake that their color can change many times through years. It's understood scientfically yet for the local people it's believed to be a supernatural phenomenon. The villagers around the Kelimutu lake believe that the lakes are the transit of the ancestors soul. Thus, sometimes they hear the voices of chant if someone would die. FOr them, the chant is the choir of welcoming the soul of the death by their ancestors. 

the other unique fact about kelimutu lake is that there is no gravity power on the surface of the like. If the small things like stone fall down or thrown downward to the lake, it will not touch the surface.
