Former President SBY Critics on Jokowi and His Decline to Testify on Hambalang Corruption

Former president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono(SBY) currently often criticizes on government program under President Jokowi. Months ago, SBY claimed that tax amnesty is a fragile assumption. It is not a good solution to escalate the revenue after the government is quite confident to reach Rp 1000 trillion from such discretion of tax. According to SBY in the midst of economy slowdown government has to be more economic in expenditure, not to force on unnecessary program of massive infrastructure platform.

Afterward, SBY sternly asserted that marine platform through sea toll platform is merely a rhetoric of government. In fact, they still focus much more on land infrastructure. SBY added that government should make good balance between crowded land infrastructure and marine development policy.

What becomes interesting then, SBY who is recognized as an anti corruption leader for his breakthrough to build KPK ( commission on corruption eradication ) precisely declined the invitation to testify before regarding the hambalang corruption.

Take into note, this case has sent democratic party politician like anas urbaningrum, andi malaranggeng and nasarudin in jail of which SBY is the founder of that democratic party.

The netizen then criticized on SBY's decision. SBY said that his invitation is irrelevant. However, former vice president like budiono,yusuf kalla did best example to testify upon the summon of the court.
People in social media blamed the ex president for unable to give good example.

The polite critics of SBY toward current government leaves the puzzle.

Previous testify of the court, the convicts anas and nazarudin ever mentioned the involvement of IBAS, sby's son in the case. Yet until now, there is no proof to legitimate ibas's involvement still to expect the court to work on the issue.

Why sby postulates much critics on government? it's hard to relate to the issue of his son involvement from law perspective. However, probably it is his demeanor to uplift again the electorate of democratic party after tampered by corruption cases or it might be the best thing to divert series of issue against his family and his party too.
