Nuclear energy has been popular as the main holder for the need of energy. Though it elicits the polemy due to the dangerous use for military use like iran, north korea, the use of nuclear to sustain the need of energy continues to be the trend throughout world wide.
Indonesia, through the chairman of economy committee and national industry(KEIN), soetrisno bachir called the government to take initiate about the urgency of nuclear energy fulfilling the state energy demand. The main objective is to achieve national energy independence complying the need of nationwide.
Soetrisno affirmed the importance of energy sector as the main holder for national revenue. So far, gas energy sector, raw oil and coal have been the main source of revenue aside from taxes. He expected president jokowi to find the alternative of nuclear energy as the new breakthrough to comply with the rising demand of national energy.
It's appreciated the program of government to build infrastructure from the isolated areas and not anymore focusing only in the island of java. Gas and oil energy have contributed to support the program of government yet should not only meant for export but more on the use of energy for local needs.
KEIN expected much on the decision of government as the decision maker to ensure the program like equalization of energy distribution through nationwide.
