Bank central of Indonesia(BI) surely believes that the strength of Rupiah to Rp 12,900 per dollar is influenced by tax amnesty especially the high split of surged in fund in the last week of september.
Rupiah is in range Rp 12,900in its opening and close at Rp 12,990 in the capital market.
The influence of tax amnesty raises the optimism of state's economy. As the official report of general directorate of taxation, total surged in money per september 27th,2016 was Rp 2,476 trillion.
The amount of asset is dominated by declaration in country Rp 1.695 trillion and treasure abroad Rp 654 trillion. While the total repatriated asset is Rp 127 trillion with total of ransom Rp 53,4 trillion.
Before in meeting work with the house of senate on wednesday september 7th, 2016 BI was quite pesimistic with the realization of tax amnesty. They assessed the realization in 2016 is only Rp 18 trillion and 2017 is only 3 trillion. Thus in all Rp 21 trillion out of the target Rp 165 trillion by the government. While the repatriated fund only reach Rp 180 trillion out Rp 1000 trillion from the target.
Nevertheless, government seems to have more accurate prediction with maximized strategy to ensure the achievement of target. For only 2 months total of ransom fund has reached 40% out of Rp 180 trillion targeted.
