Bank of Indonesia to Release New Currency Concurrently by the end of The Year

Bank of Indonesia is to release the new currency concurrently by the end of the year. Director executive of the department of currency management of Bank of Indonesia suhaedi stated that the design of the new currencies is still under the progress by central bank of indonesia. While president jokowi has approved to replace the old with the new ones.

The central bank of indonesia will withdraw the old currencies that are distributed already and simultaneously replacing with the old ones. This will not be done all together until central bank decide the deadline to replace all new currencies.

Deputy governor of bank of indonesia ronald waas said that there is the distinction of design in new currencies to release. The denomination of Rp 100.000 will be the image of first president and vice president Soekarno and Muhammad Hatta. Ronald emphasized that there is the phrase of unitary state of republic of indonesia in new currencies.

For the coins there will be the emblem of garuda and phrase republic of indonesia and the carved in year emission.

a. Pictures of National Hero Dr. (H.C.) Ir. Soekarno and Dr. (H.C.) Drs. Mohammad Hatta as the main image on the front of the paper rupiah Homeland with denominations of Rp 100 thousand;

b. Images of National Heroes Ir. H. Juanda Kartawidjaja as an image on the front rupiah Homeland paper with denominations of Rp 50 thousand

c. Pictures of National Hero Dr. G.S.S.J. Ratulangi as an image on the front rupiah Homeland paper with denominations of Rp 20 thousand;

d. Images of National Heroes Frans Kaisiepo as the picture on the front of the paper rupiah Homeland with denominations of Rp 10 thousand;

e. Pictures of National Hero Dr. K.H. Idham as an image on the front rupiah Homeland paper with denominations of Rp 5,000.

f. Images of National Heroes Mohammad Hoesni Thamrin as the picture on the front of the paper rupiah Homeland with denominations of Rp 2,000

g. Images of National Heroes Tjut Meutia as an image on the front rupiah Homeland paper with denominations of Rp 1,000;

h. Images of National Heroes Mr. I Gusti Ketut Pudja as the picture on the front of the Homeland with broken metal rupiah Rp 1,000;

i. Images of National Heroes Lt. Gen. (ret) Tahi Bonar Simatupang as the picture on the front of the Homeland with broken metal rupiah Rp 500;

j. Pictures of National Hero Dr. Tjiptomangunkusumo as the picture on the front of the Homeland with broken metal rupiah Rp 200;
