PT Industri Kereta Api, stated owned enterprise targets for the orders or contract value reaches Rp 1.7 trillion. From the that target, Rp 1.5 trillion has been reached in month of september, said senior manager secretary PT. Industri Kereta Api cholik mochamad zam zam. The target raised from Rp 1.2 trillion last year of which the company reaches profit Rp 27 billion, he added.
Cholik stated that the company is quite confident to reach the target even surpass the target if the 250 trains ordered by bangladesh which is still in negotiation.
Cholik explained that the contracts come from various industry and mostly 80% from ministry of transportation and the rest from private sector.
While for the export sake, the company will work on the commercial trains 150 units from banladesh values Rp 900 billion.Aside from bangladesh, the company looks to target the new market in sri langka by getting involved in tender electric diesel train worht of $70 million. While the products of PT Industri Kereta Api has supplied to other countries like singapore, malaysia and australia.
Cholik stressed that the company has been recognized in ASEAN level for its product qualification.
