Uranium Potential in Indonesia Reaches 78000 tons
National Nuclear Energy Agency ( BATAN) declared that indonesia has potential of uranium 78000 tons. Djarot Sulistio Wisnubroto, chief of batan in the midst of SPERA conference stated that such amount can be measured out sufficient or not for national needs. 
Djarot stressed that it needs cost exactly the investors is necessary provided there is legal law made.

Djarot said that some areas like borneo, mamuju south celebes and belitung has potential of uranium. The great challenge djarot said is the legal law for the uranium to be commercially explored. So far, it is only batan allowed to explore but limited for scientific experiment. 

Last month, august 25th, chairman of economy committee and national industry (KEIN) soetrisno bahir call for the use of nuclear as alternate for national energy demand. It is time for indonesia to develop nuclear energy, soetrisno said. Nuclear has been popular main holder for energy need of world countries. The potential of uranium identified can signal the approach of goverment for solution of high national demand of energy.
