Indonesian motorcycle industry association(AISI) is still optimistic to reach 6 million units sales by the end of the year though they admit the downtrend of demand lays as the topmost challenge.

Commercial Chairman of AISI sigit kumala said that the total sale of september 2016 was 570,000 units whereas september last year 2015 was 603,102 units. There is the decreasing in term of numbers however it's increasing around 7% compared to month of august 2016 which was 527,536 units. Nevertheless, AISI is still optimistic to reach target 6 million units or closing to the point in the midst of sluggish motorcycle market. Total of sales up to month of september has been 4.38 million units, there are three months more to pursue the target.

Chairman of AISI months ago declared that condition of economic of indonesia becomes the main reason. The growth of economy target to 5% also signifies the performance of market trend for motorcylce. The down trend sales nationally continues around 17.6% in 2015. It is different in 2015 of which total of sales year on year was 7.9 million units.

According to chairman of AISI gunadi sindhuwinata, the good news comes from export.  From 2014 to 2016, the export markets continues to grow around 500%. This is due to the increasing of smaller class motor under 250CC as the trend for developing countries.
