PT aneka tambang tbk(antam) secured a loan worth of $1.5 billion or Rp 19.5 trillion from PT bank icbc indonesia. Director of antam, dimas wikan appreciated the trust of the ICBC bank to support the company in the midst of great challenges encountered by the mining industry. The memorandum of agreement between antam and ICBC bank is to support under the projects being developed by antam. The partnership encompasses short and long term loans including for the invesment, acquistion, construction of new plant and development of means of production and facilities distribution.
Currently, pt aneka tambang is developing strategic projects of downstream commodities such as nickel, gold and bauxite. The projects being developed are namely smelter grade alumina refinery project in mempawah, west borneo and anode slime & precious metal refinery.
