Indonesia Financial service authority(FSA) targets the indonesia insurance utility reaching 75% by 2020. Deputy of commissioner of non bank financial industry(IKNB) of FSA edy setiady said that currently insurance utility is still 11% according to the research made by education and consumer protection of FSA. Hence, it is expected to reach 75% in 2020, said edy.
Alluding to the reaseach of 11% insurance utility, it means there are still around 88% of potential market to cover the entire population with insurance use.
In order to reach the goal, edy stated to maximize the micro insurance. The expansion of micro insurance will imitate the banking mechanism of non office service. Furthermore, the expansion of micro insurance products can also be run in tandem with 10 millions program of insurance agents. The growth of agent is expected concurrently with the growth of insurance customers.
