PT sampoerna tbk, cigarette producer reports the net income Rp 31.8 trillion

PT sampoerna tbk, cigarette producer reports the net income Rp 31.8 trillion in the first nine months of 2016. This increases 4.9% from the same period of last year of which the company reached the amount of Rp 30.3 trillion.

PT sampoerna also reported the increasing of its market share to 34.5% in the third quarter of 2016. The president director of sampoerna tbk, paul janelle stated the growth of market shares is bolstered by the performance of full machine rolled cigarette flavor. He claimed to still lead the sales for all segment, 30.1% in machine rolled cigarettes, 38.2% in hand rolled cigarettes, and 79% in white cigarettes.

Paul also explained that though in the midst of difficulty faced, the company is confident to succeed in portofoli brand of mild, dji sam soe and marlboro.
According to paul, the increasing of taxes on cigarettes which is 15% will also influence the performance of company.
