Strategy of Industry ministry to save domestic lubricants

Minister of industry, airlangga hartarto explained that approach of industry ministry to save demostic lubricants from the expansion of import products.
According to this golkar politician, in order to develop the lubrican industries, it is necessary the existence of integrated supply of upstream and downstream between raw material such as lube base oil and lubricant products.

Airlangga hartarto proposed some strategies such as the controlling the import products by means of increasing use of local products of lubricant , safeguard protection, duty anti dumping.
The national lubricant industry faces the hard challenge through the increasing of import since 2010around 200 kiloliters to 300 thousand kilo liters in 2013.

So far, there around 20 factories of lubricant in the country with capacity of 1.8 million kiloliters per year and revenue Rp 7 trillion.
