After 32 years has been ruling kongo republic. denis sassou was reelected after the election done by the country.
His victory was officially announced by home affair minister through national tv station.
The election was done in the midst of telecommunication network being disconnected.
Denis beat his two rivals in which this incumbent got 60% votes of the majority.
Through this victory, denis has extended his regime. It was only in 1997 he secluded himself in europe after the civil war. Afterward, denis again governed the republic of kongo.
Many people blamed for fraud within the election in which denis won the majority. The speaker of his rival, Guy-Price Parfait Kolelas, Vivie Manangou claimed there is a big fraud in the victory of incumbent president and labelled it as a witchcraft.
Uni erurope deterred to investigate the election due to the non transparency of the election done.
Moreover, while denis in presidency, kongo is still constrained in poverty. The rate of jobless is still high which is 34 %.
