Taxi drivers that are joined in community of public transportation organized massive demo to day in jakarta. All the drivers around 5000 filled the main street gatot subroto.
They made massive demonstration in Senate house demanding the prohibition of online uber and grab alike that are pointed to be make unhealthy and unfair competition with conventional taxi.
From house senate,they head to communication ministry then toward the jakarta town hall.
Demo participants demand the enforcement of regulation to ensure just and fair competition and forbidding online taxi to operate.
Some taxi drivers even in area outside jakarta like depok blockade the street and sweeping along the road. The taxi units caught were ruined and being seizured by the demo persons.
Metro polda headquarter personals are in alert to overcome the situation. There are around 5000 police sent to defer unexpected situation.
