BEFORE RAMADHAN, BUSINESS COMPETITION SUPERVISORY COMMISSION SANCTIONS FEEDLOTER Rp 107 MILLION

BEFORE RAMADHAN, BUSINESS COMPETITION SUPERVISORY COMMISSION SANCTIONS FEEDLOTER Rp 107 MILLIONBefore ramadhan, muslim holiday, the price of beef increases rapidly. Business competition supervisory commission (KPPU) sanctions 32 feedloter Rp 107 million. KPPU blamed the feedloter for the high price of beef while the demand is still not to increase.
The price trend of beef that does not follow the principle of economy becomes the concern of KPPU to monitor the improper hiking of basic needs before ramadhan.
This should not happen since the demand of beef still remain flat before ramadhan  but the seller already decide the raising of the price roughly.

KPPU explains that this should be the concern of government to anticipate unusual trend of basic need price. As the one responsible for beef price increase, around 32 feedloter was fined Rp 17 million by KPPU.

KPPU will also to monitor the upheaval price trend of other basic need like onion, chicken and many others. There is the difference of price in distribution. Though the producen of onion for example in nganjuk still hold the price flat due to the harvesting season, yet distributors already increase the onion in the market. This also the same case happen with the price of chicken.

This is a common phenomenon before the ramadhan. This will be the big task of government to ensure the moderate price not to overburden the consumers with improper price difference with ordinary season.
