Businessmen are Enthusiastic with Tax Amnesty

Tax amnesty that is going to rule out getting positive response from the businesmen. According to sofjan wanandi, chairman of vice president's team expert, businessmen interest toward tax amnesty raises due to the exchange of information among countries that make them difficult to conceal the access toward their business or money overseas. The government can easily access the investors who place their money in other countries. Sofjan said, this will boost the businesmen to repatriate their money to the country. 

Besides targeting the overseas investors, tax amnesty expects to reach domestics investors who have not report the tax obligations. According to sofjan, around Rp 500 trillion deposits have not fulfilled the tax obligation. THis will be the apt oppurtunity for them to pay in less deducted amount through tax amnesty policy. 

However, the government is expected to ensure the long term prospect of tax amnesty by providing conducive environment for the investors thus they will be assured to repatriate and invest their money. Otherwise, they won't stay long wihtout the safety guarantee of busines environment by the government. Besides, the government has to revise the tax regulation for better, because this is decisive on the part of investor to willing investing their money for long term in the country.
