Miniter of marine and fishery, Susi pudjiastuti visited labuan bajo to day. This minister from pangandaran west java had the chance to experience snorkeling. She was much admired by the beauty of islets and beach in labuan bajo. Through this, susi expected that labuan bajo should be the next travel destination after bali and lombok. This place has the natural beauty aside from the komodo dragon, the most influential ancient big lizard, she added.
However, prime of minister said that the situation is quite apprehensive. Though labuan bajo has the beautiful sea ecosystem like corral, the use of forbidden fish bom will endanger the sea ecosystem. Thus he call the awareness of people to be responsible with the lnngevity and preservation of sea biota. Susi is quite optimistic with the big potentiality of fish and tourism in labuan bajo.
There will be general commitment to take care of the islets through joint patrol. The mangroves on the coast line should be well treated to preserve the ecosystem. Susi expected the role of local government to prepare the regulation starting from the use of friendly environment trawl and firm approach toward the destruction of mangrove. This phenomenal minister underlined the importance of preserving the coast line as the main key. If it is capabled to be maintained then the entire sea ecosystem will be preserved.
Susi also mention the coast are should not be privately owned. This call of minister reaped the applause from the people. It is worth to be known that labuan bajo faces the polemy of coastal privatization which is defered by the people. This major problem is quite unpopular but the certain interest who tries to privately owned pede beach confronts with the rejection of local people including the church authority.
