700 conoco phillips employees held strike Protesting the company be acquired by Medco

The second largest of acquisiton of history inderlines the acquisiton of conocophillips by medco after newmont acquisiton. 

As the issue raised, the 700 emplyees of conocophillips held strike not to work. The emplyees demand on their fate after the acquistion of the company this opted to hold strike, said unions spokesperson for conocophillips.  The statement of unions spokesperson to counter the issue of PT Medco Energi International Tbk owned by arifin panigoro to acquire a shareholding of 40% in the block oil and gas in natuna waters. This acqusition by medco in a block off the north west coast borneo island is the second largest transaction after newmont.

Hasbullah, the spokesperson of Conocophillips said that they have try to include their demand in the contract sale between medco as the new owner. They prompt to include  financial institution pension (pension fund) to state banks. Then cononcophillips request research from zero tenure and demand for no layoffs.

Hasbullah explained that the talk with management of company including to the special task force of upstream (SKK MIGAS) regarding the demand of employee and strike planned.
