The reformation of taxes comprises of legislation improvement, law on taxation general provision, the regulation of tax added value. Tax incentives, law enforcement of tax are under the scheme of government to reform.
Regarding the tax amnesty scheme, finance minister said it is to enlarge the scale of tax paying especially those who are not tax obedient. Tax amnesty will aim to enlarge tax basis since the compliance is still streaked.
The government, according to Sri, has the authority to collect state revenues, including taxes. "And it was not colonialism. Pay taxes not occupation. If the country is independent, you have to pay to maintain independence," said Sri, applauded by the audience.
Sri also said he would do everything possible success of the tax amnesty program in order to build public confidence. "But I need you to help. Do not help me, but helped the republic. Indonesia needs people who want to improve the way each of them."
