Nine sugar factory will be closed in east java province

There are around 9 sugar factory to be closed gradually in east java province namely rejosari, kanigoro,purwodadi, toelanganm watoetoelis, meritjan, pandji, olean and wringinanom. 

All those factories ages are averagely above 100 years and planned to be closured in 3 or 4 years to come. 

Director of PTPN XI dolly p pulungan said the closed sugar factory will be used for other alternatives such as fertilizer or maintenance factories. The alteration of function is also a solution for massive rationalization of workers of sugar factories. They can be re employed for conversion factories as mentioned, said dolly.
