Bank of Indonesia reported current account deficit 4.5 billion dollar in third quarter 2016

Bank of indonesia reported the current account deficit fell around 1.8%  of gross domestic product or 4.5 billion usd in the third quarter 2016. The downsizing of account deficit is caused by the improvement of the trade balance of goods and services, said executive director of statistic department of BI hendy sulistiowati. A decrease of current account deficit is underpinned by the increase of non oil trade balance surplues in line with the rise of primary commodity exports and decline of non oil imports as well the narrowing of the deficit trade of oil and gas along with the increasing of exports.

The balance payment surplus indonesia (NPI) in thrid quarter amounts 5.5 billion usd, significantly increasing compared to the surplus of previous period which was 2.2 billion usd .
Surplus of capital transaction and finance continues due to the positive sentiment toward the outlook of global economy sluggish toward domestic prospect of economy.

Surplus of capital and finance transaction in third quarter of 2016 is 9.4 billion usd bigger than second quarter of 2016 which was 5.2 billion usd.
