Pertamina has commitment to increase its production through the use of innovated technology and optimaztion of production. This state owned company is well awared that the increase use of domestic energy in the midst of lower energy production will lead to horrendous energy crisis in the future.
The senior vice president exploration of pertamina, doddy priambodo in the energy forum of jakarta wednesday december 14th, 2016 claimed that it is a challenge for the company to boost its production as to maintain resilience and energy independence. Doddy added that in the past 8 years pertamina has increased 7% of its production each year to suffice the demand for domestic.It is approached through the use of technology finding new reserves aiming for optimal production. Namely pertamina has made approach through enhanced oil recovery in various field such as in tanjung dan sangasanga in kalimantan.Beside the company implemented sea technology in blok offshore north west java dan block west madura offshore.
