The issue of acquisition plan of PGE( geothermal energy of pertamina) and PLN was denied by state owned enterprise minister, rini soemarno. She said the issue of merging both companies is not true, on the contrary, rini stated that PLN is only to have the share in PGE not to merge as being informed by media.
"it must be clear that there is no acquisition of PGE", rini added in pertamina energy forum in jakarta tuesday, december 13th, 2016.
According to this PDIP party politician, PGE is basically subsidiary of pertamina which engages in geothermal and only intended for electricity. So far, PLN is the only buyer of geothermal energy of PGE. Though both companies ever quarrelled due to disagreement of prices, the only solution is to allow PLN having shares thus price will not be a problem for both.
Rini expected, both PLN and pertamina will exert effort to support the growth of PGE as big company.
