The first debate was scheduled last night thursday 13th, 2017 at 20.00 under the theme of economy and social platform for jakarta in forthcoming years.
PDIP politician bestari barus saw that the incumbent governor ahok seemingly dominating the debate theme through highlighting their achievement during their term governing jakarta province.
Two of their rivals namely anies and agus criticized on ahok's program of land eviction of not considering the fate of marginal class. Besides, the overlooked the incumbent governor's program to be lopsided one of which not daring to close alexis hotel which is recognized as metropolitan prostitution nest.
On the critics, ahok-jarot claimed that land eviction is only done along the settlement of river banks. They added it is compulsory to enlarge the river banks through eviction to prevent the flood which is the main problem unsolved by previous governors. Precisely, ahok considered non pro eviction of his two rivals as tricking simply on account to gain the position of governor. According to ahok-jarot it is illogical to overcome flood without evicting wild settlement along the river banks.
Incumbent governor also responded to anies critics on alexis hotel claiming that he has closed some pub for knowing of their illegal action with in such as millenium and stadium pub. Ahok also criticisez program of agus which is blatanlty a copy paste of his program such as jakarta one to satu jakarta of agus-silvy's version.
