MALAYSIAN FLAGGED vessels CAUGHT STEALING FISH IN MALACA STRAIT INDONESIA7 Malaysian flagged vessels caught stealing fish in malaca strait and being detained by Indonesian authority.  

Maritime and fisheries ministry affairs surveillance boats was able to monitor on malaysian vessels and caught the boats that were allegedly in crime for disregarding the indonesian sea territory. 

All the the crew of vessel were known to be indonesians employeed by malaysia to trawl the fish, furthermore the use of prohibitted trawl was another crime over the sea territory Worsenly harming ecosystem of sea done by malaysian vessels. 

According to maritime and fisheries ministry, it was not the first time that malaysia stole the sea sources like fish for instance from indonesia. They used to do the similar crime mode recruiting indonesians employee to perpetrate the illegal fishing. The firm enforcement and stronger sea guard on jokowi's era implied the impact on the rigidity of indonesia to any illegal fishing within its territory.


 In same cases before, maritime and fishery minister even capsized and bombed the boats and ships caught on doing illegal crime within indonesia sea territory.

All the crew of vessel are in 36 crew which are all indonesians. The captain of malaysian vessel explained that they employed in malaysia as construction workers until they changed the phase of being fisherman of malaysian corporation to pilferage fish from malaca strait. 

Furthermore, he added that they are all well aware of doing crime of illegal fishing  yet being mesmerized by higher amount of wage offered by the company, higher than doing the same job in indonesia. 

Actually, they had done the crime some times before until got caught on february 1st,2016 by maritime and fisheries boats patrol surveillance. 
On their case, the crew were imprisoned for 5 years and rp 2 billions fine according to legal applicable law in indonesia.
