Jokowi blatantly focuses on the progress of infrastructure projects for papua starting from toll infrastructure, airports, ports and even the equalization of distributed goods for that province. Lately president called for lower and uniform gas prices for papua province of which was claimed to be the first in history. Currently, the price of goods in papua, the eastern farthest part of the country is similar to java island area.
The regional constraction for acceleration of papua projects( GAPENSI) likewise focuses to haste the infrastructure project as to bring the economy growth better in that region. The commitment of gapensi is indeed the further interpretation of jokowi's policy to accomplish the projects in due time in accordance with the standard specified.
Chairman of gapensi erick wally claimed that almost 80% the members of gapensi being involved in government projects for papua. Erik also praises the initiation of president who prioritize the projects for papua's progress in the midst of national deficit for budget.
