PT RNI targets for 78000 hectare of sugarcane land in 2010



PT RNI( rajawali nusantara indonesia) targets to cultivate 78000 hectares land of sugarcane by 2020. Currently the total land cultivated is still 55000 hectares.
President director of RNI didiek prasetyo said that the target of land to manage is in aline with the declaration of self sufficiency of of sugar about three million tones per year in 2019. Together with other state owned companies PTPN III and perum perhutani RNI intitates the synergy to increase the sugar production of state enterprises.

In further cooperation with other enterprises, RNI will cultivate 20000 hectares land provided by perhutani in indramayu, mahalengka and semarang. The scope of cooperation includes provision of forest land for the cultivation of sugar cane with agroforesty which includes seed management, transportation and increase of production and productivity of sugar cane.

In addition, the cooperation with also comprises of empowerment of forest communities through sugar cane crop, cultivition of expert and working capital likewise cooperation activiteis with cultivation of sugar cane syndication loans.

President director denaldy M maulana explained that in the future with agroforestry perhutani will optimize the combination of forest and food crops including sugarcane, forest plants and animals. with the total of area 2.4 million hectares, perhutani will be more focus on agroforestry  while still keep the rule.
